Crime Suppression Unit (CSU)

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office’s Crime Suppression Unit provides a variety of services to the community, other Law Enforcement agencies and PCSO Bureaus. Pinal County is growing extensively in population and the crime rate is following along with that growth. The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office is in need of a support group to depend on when specific crimes develop in certain areas of the County. When Patrol deputies develop intelligence on a specific crime problem involving blatant violations of the law, a Unit with specialized skills can be utilized in a high profile, zero tolerance operation in the area. This unit is a break off of the Special Weapons and Tactics team for future full time status as the County grows and the calls increase.

The Crime Suppression Unit is being developed to support Patrol, Investigations, County Agencies or Governmental agencies with specific investigations as either a support Unit or to take lead in the investigation.
