The Pinal County Sheriff's Posse is an elite group of citizens assembled by the Sheriff to assist in maintaining law and order. The Sheriff's Posse operates under the direction of four regional Posse Lts. There are three distinct levels of Posse membership.
- Level One assist with administrative support work and special projects/duties
- Level Two assist with some patrol functions as well as special projects and events
- Level Three assist sworn deputies with patrol duties, transport of prisoners, event security, crime scene security, disasters and an other areas where service to citizens and support to law enforcement is requested.
Total training for Level 3 Posse members is approximately 350 hours.
