With the passage of the NAFTA Pinal County has found itself uniquely located in the heart of the CANAMEX Corridor, with the junction of I–8 and I–10.
The Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit consists of one sergeant and four deputies assigned to grant-funded positions enforcing federal commercial vehicle regulations. These include, but are not limited to, driver safety and vehicle safety rules and regulations.
Since the unit formation and due to the unit’s enforcement actions, there has been a noticeable decrease in the number of serious injury and fatal accidents involving commercial motor vehicles.
