News: Authorities to announce results of probe targeting 'billion dollar' drug ring

PHOENIX - Federal, state and local officials will hold a news conference Monday morning to unveil the results of a 17-month, multi-agency investigation targeting one of the largest narcotics trafficking organizations ever uncovered in Arizona. Authorities allege the ring, linked to Mexico's Sinaloan cartel, smuggled millions of dollars worth of drugs a month through the state. Last week, investigators conducted the third of three recent enforcement actions aimed at dismantling the organization.
