Transportation Advisory Committee

The Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC)is represented by the citizens of each Supervisory District. These committees review the future growth in Pinal County and make recommendations for road improvements to the Board of Supervisors. The recommendations are prioritized and submitted as a 5 year plan.

Public meetings are held at various locations in each district to gather public input. County citizens are encouraged to attend these meetings to offer comments or ask questions regarding roadway projects in their area. The Transportation Advisory Committees consider these requests and comments in developing their recommendations to the Board of Supervisors.

The Board of Supervisors adopts the 5-Year Plan at a regular scheduled Board meeting in July of each year. Funding for the 5-Year Plan is received from a Transportation Excise Tax originally approved by the voters of Pinal County in 1987. From the election held November 8, 2005, the voters re-approved the funding from the Transportation Excise Tax that will continue for the next 20 years (2007 - 2026).

Listed herein are the 2009 TAC Public Meeting dates. These meeting dates are subject to change. For more information regarding the 5-Year Plan for your district, call (520) 866-6411.
