As part of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Planning in Arizona, Pinal County Division of Public Health (PCPH) Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (PHEPR) is developing contingency plans for mass vaccination clinics and for dispensing Strategic National Stockpile materials, such as antibiotics and other medications. PCPH PHEPR has partnered with Pinal County Office of Emergency Management (PCOEM) to develop a unique, multi-risk, multi-response and multifunctional volunteer program. While the immediate health threat to Pinal County residents is extremely low, we need to be prepared. Should an emergency occur, we will need the help of volunteers to provide services to the community.
Our goal is to identify non-medical persons and medical persons who are willing to assist in a public health emergency. Whether you are still working, retired, going to school, or want to be involved in your community, your willingness to serve will be invaluable in helping meet our community needs.
We need volunteers throughout the county in order to serve all our residents. All volunteers will be provided an appropriate level of orientation or training.
