Gut bucket, guitars and bluegrass. The Hey Boyz, an Arizona—based, Cowboy, bluegrass band, blending and merging lyrics of the old west with country music.

One cannot discussThe Hey Boyz, without first discussing the makeup of the band: all of them are seasoned players, ranging in age from 23 to 65. They have been together for over seven years, and have eight European tours under their collective belt. Their instruments are a five string banjo, a mandolin, a lead, a rhythm guitar and a wash-tub bass. Finally, we come to Tom McCormick. Tom began playing drums as a teen, and played professionally on the concert circuit across the U.S. In the late Sixties he settled into Arizona; there he performed regularly as a vocalist and percussionist on stage and in the studio with a variety of performers.

The Hey Boyz are very accomplished musicians and singers -- as well as prolific award winning writers. They have fired up audiences from Arizona to Switzerland with their high-energy shows. The band offers its unique brand of wild, fun, high-energy, western bluegrass music, and humor. They are one of the best wood-burnin’ string bands to come out of the Arizona territory, blending Old-West lyrics and acoustic, bluegrass instruments, and three-part harmonies. Their all-original show will leave you with a smile your face and a warm place in your heart!

Headline Bluegrass

The Headline
Bluegrass Band

An award winning, traditional bluegrass band based out of Phoenix, AZ. Their awards include first place in Flagstaff, Arizona’s 2008 “Pickin’ in the Pines” band competition, and the banjo player, Tyler Walls, is Colorado’s reigning 2009 “Rocky Grass Banjo Champaion. While a relatively new band, they pride themselves in high quality musicianship and professionalism. Their draw continues to grow. The Headline Bluegrass Band performed at the 2010 Agri-Country Bluegrass Festival and the requests to have them return this year has been remarkable. We welcome this young band back to our stage and know you’ll be equally impressed as was last year’s audience.
