Chairman Snider Holding Maricopa Office Hours on Tuesday, October 6

9/28/2009

CASA GRANDE – Board of Supervisors Chairman David Snider will once again hold his monthly Maricopa office hours on Tuesday, October 6, from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.

Chairman Snider will be available for face-to-face interactions with constituents in the interim Maricopa City Hall located at 45145 West Madison Avenue. If you would like to schedule a time to visit during his office hours in Maricopa, you can call his office at 836-0003 – otherwise it is first-come, first-served.

“I appreciate the cooperation from Mayor Anthony Smith and the staff at the City of Maricopa to allow me to bring Pinal County Government a little closer to the people in the northwest portion of the county,” Chairman Snider said.

There is a lot on the plate of leaders in both Pinal County and the City of Maricopa, the Chairman said.

“We have finished up our meetings about the Comprehensive Plan,” Chairman Snider said. “We had a series of public hearings with our Planning and Development staff in our Board meetings and I can honestly tell you, those hearings were very frank discussions on the future of Pinal County. Although this plan is a ten-year venture for the County, it is forward in its focus toward what Pinal County will look like 10, 20 even 30 years from now.”

Chairman Snider is also working hard on the future of water and water availability in area. He is part of the Local Area Drought Impact group which studies water issues through Pinal County.

“This group is important if we want to keep one of our most valued resources available for all and affordable for all,” Chairman Snider stated. “Agriculture is a key part of our economy and I think it is incumbent upon us to make sure that the stewards of our land are able to continue their job of providing food for all of us.”
