FLORENCE – Pinal County Department of Public Works is advising residents in the Lake in the Desert area that county crews should begin road grade preparation work on subdivision streets beginning Monday, September 14.
This will be followed with the application of Asphalt and Dust Rock Palliative (ADRP). The work should take approximately two weeks to complete. The purpose of the construction project is to apply a road surface which will keep the dust down in the area.
Public Works cautioned that inclement weather conditions may cause crews to postpone the start date. They ask drivers to drive carefully through the work zones keeping an eye out for road construction equipment. Treatment consists of a heavy application of liquid asphalt covered with gravel. Since the treatment remains very soft for several days, drivers are asked to watch their speed, especially while accelerating, so they won’t spin their tires and cause gravel to become separated from the liquid asphalt.
The project boundary consists of Overfield Road on the west, Evans Road on the east, Randolph Road on the south and McCartney Road on the north.
Drainage realignment construction and utility relocations along with regularly scheduled grader maintenance will continue until the ADRP treatment is complete.
