Drainage Project Underway on Lamb Road in Arizona City

7/15/2013

FLORENCE, AZ – Pinal County Public Works has authorized construction of a dip on Lamb Road in the area of the Milligan Wash beginning today. This is an area that is frequently closed during heavy rains due to the volume of water flowing in the Milligan Wash. Once constructed, the dip will allow water to clear the road more quickly.

Banicki Construction will be performing the work under contract with Pinal County Public Works. Contractors are now on site working on the shoulder of the road. Lamb Road is passable for the time being. Intermittent closures will be required, possibly beginning as early as July 22.

Detours will be posted but plan to allow extra travel time for the duration of the construction project. The entire project is estimated to take two to three weeks if there are no major delays due to inclement weather.

Drivers are urged to use extra caution around work crews and obey all road signs as well as the instructions of workers in the area.
