The Superior Court is Arizona’s trial court of general jurisdiction with locations in each county. The Superior Court for Pinal County is located in Florence, the county seat. Article VI, Section 14 of the Arizona Constitution defines the jurisdiction of the Superior Court.

The Clerk of the Superior Court is an elected official and serves as the official record keeper and financial officer of the Superior Court. Arizona Revised Statutes, Supreme Court and Local Court Rules govern the duties and functions of this office.

Justice of the Peace Courts are courts established within Justice of the Peace Precincts within the county and operates under the authority of the Arizona Supreme Court. Justice of the Peace Courts are courts of limited jurisdiction and hear both civil and criminal cases. There are eight Justice of the Peace courts in Pinal County.

Municipal Courts are courts established by an incorporated city or town and operates under the authority of the Arizona Supreme Court. Every incorporated city or town in Arizona has a municipal court. There are nine municipal courts within Pinal County.
