Casa Grande Woman sentenced to 10 years for meth sales

Florence, AZ – Jennifer Sutton, 39, was sentenced Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 to 10 years in prison for sale of methamphetamine, a dangerous drug, in Casa Grande last February.

 

She was indicted on two charges of sale of methamphetamine, a class 2 felony, and possession of methamphetamine for sale a class 2 felony. She plead guilty to both charges and will serve 10 years for each one. The sentences will run concurrently.

 

The investigation and resulting arrest was conducted by the Casa Grande Police Department Narcotics Unit.

 

“I commend the Casa Grande Police Department and our prosecutors for their hard work to pursue drug cases in our county,” said James P. Walsh, Pinal County Attorney and Pinal County Substance Abuse Council Chairman. “I want to take this opportunity to renew our commitment to ridding our communities from the blight of narcotics.”

 

The sentencing took place before Superior Court Judge Boyd Johnson on July 9, 2012.
