Authority: A.R.S. §11-807 and Articles 23 & 24 of the Zoning Ordinance.
Membership: Five Member Board. There are four members of the Board of Adjustments that represent two Supervisorial Districts, for a total of four, and one who represents the remaining Supervisorial District. The membership representing the districts rotates as a vacancy occurs. Statutory requirements provide for each member to be appointed in staggered four year terms
Term of Office: Four Years.
Powers: The jurisdiction of the Board of Adjustment shall be throughout the unincorporated portions of Pinal County. The authority of said Board, shall extend only to the interpretation of the Zoning Ordinance, and to the granting of variances.

Authority: A.R.S. §3-124
Membership: Seven Member Board. Seven public members, four of whom have as their principal business the production of agricultural commodities. The other three members must be representative of organizations or persons who use the County Agricultural Extension Services.
Term of Office: Two Years.
Powers: Provides input and sets priorities for educational programs and strategic directions for the faculty and staff of the County Cooperative Extension. Also approve the annual budget for the Extension and advocate for Cooperative Extension in their communities.

Membership: Nine Members. Three from each Board of Supervisory District.
Term of Office: Three Years.
Powers: The Board of Supervisors may appoint an Advisory Council of such membership as it deems necessary to advise and consult with the Board of Supervisors, the control agency, and the control officer in effecting the purposes of this article.

Membership: Five Member Board. The five members shall be knowledgeable in the field of air pollution. At least one member of the board shall be an attorney licensed to practice law in this state. At least three members shall not have a substantial interest, as defined in section 38-502, in any person required to obtain a permit pursuant to this article.
Term of Office: Three Years.
Powers: Advise and consult with the board of supervisors, the control agency, and the control officer in effecting the purposes of this article.

Membership: Three Members. One from each Board of Supervisor District.

Powers: The Audit Committee’s primary purpose is to assist the Board of Supervisors in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities by reviewing and evaluating the County’s financial information, the established systems of internal controls, and the audit process. The Audit Committee will also provide for open communication between the Office of Internal Audit, the Arizona Office of Auditor General, and the Board of Supervisors.

Authority: Employee Benefit Trust Agreement and Declaration of Trust
Membership: Five Member Board.
Term of Office: Three years.
Powers: Provide oversight of administration for the Trust which provides health insurance for employees of Pinal County.

Membership: 9 Member Board. Must have 1 physician; 1 city council person; 1 member of the Board of Supervisors; The other 6 may be made up of two members of the public from each supervisorial district.

Powers: Advises the director of Public Health and makes rules and regulations for the protection and preservation of public health.

Membership: Five Member Board. Architect, engineer, general contractor, resident and a trades person.
Term of Office: Four Years.
Powers: In order to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the building official relative to the application and interpretation of this code, there shall be and is hereby created a board of appeals. The board of appeals shall be appointed by the governing body and shall hold office at its pleasure. The board shall adopt rules of procedure for conducting its business.

Powers: Advises the Board of Supervisors on matters pertaining to the fairgrounds and parks and recreation. This Board meets only on as needed basis.

Powers: The IDA is governed by the provisions of the Industrial Development Financing Act, the Articles of Incorporation of the Pinal County IDA and its Bylaws. The Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors assists in the financing of commercial and industrial enterprises; safe, sanitary, and affordable housing; and healthcare facilities through the issuance of multiple revenue bonds.

Membership: Five Member Board. No more than three can be from the same political party.
Term of Office: Four Years.
Powers: Acts as an appeals board in cases of disciplinary action, including termination, taken by a County department head or elected official. This commission may either affirm, modify or revoke the decision of the department head or elected official.

Powers: The TAC members review road maintenance & construction requests from the public and recommend a 5-Year Road Maintenance Plan to the Pinal County Board Of Supervisors
