Region 4 is geographically the smallest region in The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction. The region includes the Queen Creek, Johnson Ranch and the Copper Basin areas and is bound on the north by Germann Road. On the West, the region follows a line south along Meridian Road to Empire Road and west to about Power Road. We extend out east along a line just to the north of Arizona Farms Road, all the way out to State Highway 79 on the south; the line on the north side of State Highway 87.

Even though Region 4 is the smallest region geographically, its population is more than 80,000 people, so it routinely has the highest calls for service of all four regions. In October 2007, Region 4 had 2,224 calls for service; in November 2007, 1,979 calls for service and in December 2007, 1,866 calls for service.

Region 4 has 37 people: one lieutenant, one detective, five sergeants, five corporals, 25 deputies and the single strand that holds all together, one secretary.

Sheriff Babeu and the Command staff seeing the need and responding to the growth in the region has shifted a sixth squad to the region with one sergeant, one corporal and four deputies to be used as a community impact squad to work trouble spots and high profile incidents in the region.

We are the first responders to the region for law enforcement and all public safety needs for our community. We work very close with Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Rural Metro Fire and South West Ambulance.

The goal of Region 4 is to provide the highest standards of customer service with a high level of proactive involvement with the community around us. The men and women of Region 4 have the highest standards of professionalism and ethics that truly makes them Pinal Counties finest.

Region 4 Regional Headquarters is located at 3655 E. Hunt Hwy and is headed by regional commander Lt. William Haigh.
