The Pinal County Assessors Office has taken a lead role in the development of the County Enterprise GIS. This collaborative effort of several County departments began in mid 1999. The project is based on an extensive network of survey control points which all Rights of way and parcels are applied to. This base map of roads and parcels can then be linked with data and other mapping information related them.

The ultimate goal of the project is to create a one stop source of data and mapping information for County departments to better serve the residents of Pinal County, and eventually make the information available on the World Wide Web.
