Pinal home prices continue to rise in First Quarter

FLORENCE, AZ – Residential home prices in Pinal County rose an average of 11.6% in the first quarter of 2014. When compared to the first three months of last year, the average sale price went from $162,772 in 2013 to $181,610 in 2014. The average size for residential properties in the county was steady at 1,953 square feet a year ago to 1,949 over the most recent three months.

Median values increased at almost the same rate, up 11.3% from a year ago. The median price went from $142,000 in Q1, 2013 to $158,000 in Q1, 2014. The media square footage went from 1,823 to 1,828 over the 12 month period.

The highest price paid for a home in Q1 was for a custom property in the Superstition Mountain development, just east of Apache Junction. The home sold for $1,125,000 in March of this year.
